Martin Richard Memorial One-Mile Invitational

Saunders Stadium, South Boston

You're cordially invited to attend the 4th Annual Martin Richard One Mile Memorial Invitational hosted by Youth Enrichment Services (YES). Join us for an inclusive track meet celebrating the life of Martin Richard. The one mile that we run, walk, or roll will celebrate Martin's zest for life as a competitor, teammate, and vibrant young boy. The invitational is a family-friendly event with races for runners ages four and up. Runners who are blind or mobility challenged and wheelchair racers are encouraged to participate.

Last year Paralympian Chaz Davis took top honors in the elite field, while Maddy Wilson won the youth wheelchair division. This year University of Illinois junior Katrina Gerhard, and Nichols College freshman Chris Kimball will headline the women's wheelchair division and men's blind/visually impaired division while triple amputee Muji Karim will return looking to best 6:30 this year!

All 400 Meter finishers will receive a commemorative Martin Richard 1 Mile Memorial Ribbon. The top three (3) finishers in the Youth, Scholastic, Wheelchair, and Open 1 Mile Races will receive awards.
